Mons Draconis Anniversary, and Dreiburgen Spring Tourney.

The Heavy Weapons Champion will take the title of Dragon-slayer of Gorgonoth and receive a Viking bench made and donated by Lord Ranewulf.
The theme of the day is "Plague Rats on Parade” There is a Plague Rat Parade and prizes will be awarded for the best Plague Rat Float and/or Mascot (pets, minions, etc.). Fighting events will be centered around the theme of the Plague Rat. The always popular Plague Rat Melee is a perennial favorite and a great Audience Participation Event. The Heavy Weapons champion will receive the title of Dragon-Slayer of Gorgonoth. We are also considering a tied-together Dragon Team Tournament. We have not yet secured marshalling for Rapier Combat although that is open. There is no donational luncheon, this park does not allow food service without permits. We are also hoping for a people’s Choice Arts contest.

There is a Troll Gate for the park which demands $3 per adult, $2 per child, and $1 per dog.. Our gate fee (at the tourney) is $3 for members and $8 for non-members. There will be no site fee for children 9 and under.

We are not expecting to have adequate authorized officers for children’s events, so all children will need to be under the supervision of their parent or guardian at all times. We are considering a Thrown Weapons (Rat) competition. We do not understand the site to allow Merchants. Contact the event steward for more info.

Additional Information The site opens at 8:00am with Court beginning at 10:00am (at TRM pleasure). The days’ events will begin shortly after court. The site closes at 6:00pm. This is a dry site. Pets are allowed on site, given that they are on-leash and owners are responsible as to messes.

From the 60, East or West take the Rubidoux Blvd Exit and go South about 0.6 miles, and turn Left on Mission Blvd. Go 0.7 miles and turn right on Crestmore (just) before crossing the Santa Ana River). Follow Crestmore to the right, a total of about 1.4 miles, and the park is on the Left. Once through the gate, keep to the right, around back. The very large area at the extreme SouthWest of the park is us.

From the 91, either turn onto the 60 West and follow the above, or exit on Mission Inn Blvd. and go West 1.9 miles through downtown Riverside and across the Santa Ana River, and make a U-turn at Daly. Return 0.2 miles to Crestmore and turn right and see above.
